MEXICO — Maine State Police are seeking a man from the western town of Mexico for questioning in a fatal shooting.

Thirty-year-old Thomas Joudrey was shot in the head early on July 24 at a trailer in Mexico’s Riverside Park and died two days later after being removed from life support.

The Sun Journal says a manhunt that morning failed to locate 28-year-old Robert Terrill, who lived at the home. Terrill is now described by law enforcement authorities as a “person of interest.”

“He was obviously inside the trailer (at the time), but I wouldn’t classify him as a witness or suspect at this point, but we need to talk to him,” Sgt. Mark Holmquist of the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit told the Sun Journal. “Anything he can give us would be good information.”

The Mexico police chief called Terrill “a key to the puzzle.”

Terrill is 6 feet tall and weighs about 175 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He left the scene wearing tan pants and a black T-shirt and carrying an olive-green duffel bag. Anyone with information on Terrill is asked to call 911, the newspaper reported.

A third man in the home that night has been questioned by authorities. The state medical examiner’s office hasn’t yet determined the cause and manner of death.
