OXFORD — Officials said a stock car driver in Maine suffered burns when his car caught fire at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Assistant Fire Chief Ed Adams said driver Kyle Hewins was flown Saturday night to Maine Medical Center, where he was treated for burns on his hands.
Hewins’ car spun into a wall and then caught fire, causing some harrowing moments.
Hewins was listed in satisfactory condition at the hospital.
