BATH — Angela M. Black, 39, of Washington Street passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Brigham’s & Women’s Hospital in Boston.

She was born in Augusta on September 19, 1972, a daughter of Kendall M. Black and Esther M. Trask.

She attended Bath schools and graduated from Morse High School in the Class of 1991. She studied at Southern New Hampshire University where she received a Bachelors of Science in 2004. She then continued on to receive a Master’s in Business Administration in 2006. She was employed at Bath Iron Works as an Estimating Analyst until present. Angela was a five year cancer survivor who was always helping others by fundraising for The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer, Hope & Healing. Angela’s motto was “Hope, Faith & Believe”.

Angela was an active member with the Young Survival Coalition, Young BC Mets and BC Mets.org.

Angela enjoyed traveling, boating, music, spending time with family and friends and her beloved dogs, Gage and Mia. Angela lived life to the fullest no matter what the obstacle.

Angela is survived by her son, Matthew Holcombe and his companion, Kayleigh Fortin of Bath two brothers, David Wienckowski and his wife Jennifer of Bowdoin and Kendall Black of Bath, her sister, Heather Page of Bath, her mother, Bunni McLaughlin of Bath, several nieces and nephews and a beloved circle of friends.

There will be no visiting hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Maine Maritime Museum, 243 Washington Street, Bath. Memorial contributions may be made to The Dempsey Challenge, Team Angela c/o Matthew Holcombe, 50 Washington Street, Bath, 04530.
