Saturday, Aug. 4

Animal complaint – Residents of the Mitchell Road reported finding a bat in a bedroom of the home. A similar incident was reported the following day at a home on Brentwood Road. Both animals were sent to the state lab to be tested for rabies. Both tests came back negative.

Monday, Aug. 6

Burglary – Approximately $15 in change was reported missing from a vehicle parked in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood.

Theft – A wooden bench was reported stolen from a Broad Cove home.

Thursday, Aug. 9

Theft – A white and green Kawasaki mountain bike was reported stolen from a home on Mitchell Road.

Friday, Aug. 10

Burglary – A Cross Hill resident reported that some had entered a garage at the residence and ransacked a vehicle parked inside, making off with a briefcase, a laptop computer, a GPS unit and “golfing equipment.”

Burglary – Patrolmen Davis and Dorval responded to a motor vehicle burglary in progress on Shore Road, reporting that, “suspect fled upon activating a car alarm.”

Monday, Aug. 13

Burglary – Although one car burglary was interrupted on Shore Road Sunday, another vehicle was burglarized on that same street overnight. On Monday, the owner reported an iPod missing from the vehicle.

Matthew B. Young, 21, of Portland, on Spurwink Avenue at 4:31 p.m., on a change of being a fugitive from justice.

Kathleen Curry-Sparks, 41, of Cape Elizabeth, on Shore Road at 2:50 p.m., for failure to produce proof of motor vehicle insurance.

Ryan Weeks, 32, of Scarborough, on Spurwink Avenue at 4:45 p.m., for failure to produce proof of motor vehicle insurance.

Sunday, Aug. 12

Marcia Scott-Moody, 49, of Gray, on Ocean House Road at 9:47 a.m., for failure to produce proof of motor vehicle insurance.
