At the fourth annual Sandsations fundraiser on Sept. 9 for Birth Roots Resource Center, at Pine Point Beach in Scarborough, Love Bugs II won the Golden Bucket (people’s choice) and Golden Sand Dollar (most money raised online) awards. The team, William and Peter Jordan, and Julian and Elwyn Bernard, said they practiced their sand-sculpting skills all summer on Cliff Island.
