WEST BATH — The town has signed on with Maine’s InforME’s Rapid Renewal service for motor vehicle registrations.

With Rapid Renewal, residents are now able to quickly renew their motor vehicle registrations online. Online registration service has been available for renewals of boat, ATV, snowmobile and trailer registrations.

Rapid Renewal is an Internetbased interface intended to increase the ease and convenience of renewing most motor vehicle registrations for its residents. Individuals and corporations can renew most vehicle registrations from their personal computers while communicating and paying via a secure and encrypted connection.

Following the renewal transaction, the registrant is able to print off a temporary registration to carry in his or her vehicle until the mailed registration with new sticker( s) arrives in the mail, normally within 12 business days. The temporary registration is valid for 21 days.
