TOPSHAM — The Topsham Parks and Recreation Department has announced several programs for the fall.

TOP Soccer

This adaptive soccer league for children with learning challenges or disabilities, ages 8-15.

Come join volunteer coordinators and members of the Mt. Ararat girls varsity soccer team for this organized soccer experience.

Participants who register will receive a ball and jersey.

This program began Sept. 9 and runs for eight weeks at the Foreside Road Field from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost to register is $20, additional $5 non-resident fee.

Girls ice hockey clinic

This is a free program for girls of all ages who want to try ice hockey.

The clinic will be held on Oct. 20. Players need to arrive at 2:15 p.m. to be fitted for skates and equipment.

Free loaner hockey equipment provided at the rink. Experienced coaches will provide a fun and safe experience.

Current players (girls only) are welcome to bring a friend and join us on the ice.

Limited to 30 participants.

The clinic will by held at Travis Roy Arena in Yarmouth.

Travel field hockey

Girls in grades 3-6 are welcome to join this program which began Sept. 7, and runs from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Mt. Ararat High School.

The eight-week league cost $30, and is for those attending School Administration District 75 students.

Equipment packages are available by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 725-1726.

Candlepin Bowling

Starts Oct. 6 at the Bowling Bowl in Brunswick.

This 10-week program includes instruction, shoes and strings. Lessons begin at 11 a.m.

For children ages 8-14. Topsham residents cost $35, $45 non-residents.

Cross country

This program began on Sept. 5, and will run for seven weeks at the Foreside Recreation Area.

Practices are being held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m.

Beginning Mid-September, meets will take place at various Mid-Coast communities on Wednesdays. Parents are responsible for transportation, a schedule of meets/directions will be available.

This program is available to children 6–12 years of age, children 6-7 will require parental supervision, Shirts will be provided.

Registration is $30, $40 for non-residents.
