KENNEBUNK — Austin Downing scored two goals Tuesday night to lead Scarborough to a 3-1 victory against Kennebunk in an SMAA schoolboy soccer game.

Trevor Sparda set up both goals for Downing and also scored for the Red Storm (4-0-2).

Pat Stanton had four saves to keep Kennebunk scoreless until the final three minutes, when Lucas Butterfield scored.

John Burns finished with 10 stops for Kennebunk (4-2).

 

CHOP POINT 6, A.R. GOULD 3: Mike Pajak, Gable Stevens and Sam Stevens each scored twice to lead the Blue Bears (4-0) over the Bears (0-4) at South Portland.

Sam Adams, Dante Dennis and Keelin White scored, and Gabe Olson had 11 saves for A.R. Gould.

Cullen Cummings finished with four saves for Chop Point.

 

GORHAM 9, BONNY EAGLE 0: Connor Regan and Chandler Regan scored two goals each to help Gorham (4-0-1) shut out Bonny Eagle (1-5) at Standish.

Nate Roberts, Chris Hardy, Kyle Curley, Alex McCarthy and Marc Benson also scored.

MARSHWOOD 4, MASSABESIC 0: Alex McLean, Max McCoomb, Austin Hale and Matt Scremin scored as Marshwood (4-2) beat the Mustangs (1-4-1) at South Berwick.

Andrew Wicklund made 10 save for Massabesic.

 

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 3, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Jacob Scammon scored with 38 seconds left to lift the Panthers (3-3-1) over the Rangers (4-2) at Kittery.

D.J. Nicholas added a pair of goals, and Austin Kidder and Camden Spear combined to make nine saves for NYA.

Traip Academy twice rallied to tie on goals by Brandon Metevier and Josh Schneier.

PORTLAND 2, BIDDEFORD 2: Ibrahim Dahir scored off a through pass from Liban Hassan with six minutes left in regulation as Portland (1-3-1) tied the Tigers (0-4-1) at Biddeford.

After Tim Rovnak scored five minutes into the match from Dahir, Biddeford tied it before halftime, then took the lead early in the second half.

 

WINDHAM 2, CHEVERUS 0: Jake Mello scored in the first half and Devin Strout in the second as the Eagles (4-1) downed the Stags (3-3) at Portland.

Tyler Connors made five saves to record the shutout. Charlie Mull also finished with five saves for Cheverus.

FALMOUTH 3, FREEPORT 0: Cooper Lycan scored twice as the Yachtsmen (4-0) beat the Falcons (1-5-1) at Freeport.

Luke Velas also scored for Falmouth.

Will D’Agostino had four saves for the shutout. Brendan Qualls stopped seven shots for Freeport.

 

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 2, RANGELEY 0: Byeong Woo Jung and Teddy Lane scored early in the second half as the Lions (4-1) pulled away from the Lakers (0-6) at South Portland.

James Perkins stopped four shots and David Davol added an assist for the Lions.

Randy Thompson finished with 18 saves for Rangeley.

 

YARMOUTH 4, POLAND 0: Wyatt Jackson scored twice to help the Clippers (5-0-1) defeat the Knights (0-5-1) at Yarmouth.

Adam LaBrie and David Clemmer also scored.

Cody Kostro made 10 saves for Poland.

MT. ARARAT 6, LAWRENCE 1: Jason Tome scored twice as the Eagles (4-1-1) beat the Bulldogs (2-3-2) at Fairfield.

Griffin Stockford, Chris Pepin, Justin Pierce and Robbie Small also scored, and Gabe Pelletier made 12 saves for Mt. Ararat.

Drew Bois scored from Matt Saunders and Brad King made 16 saves for Lawrence.

 

CONY 2, OXFORD HILLS 1: Ean Rouillard scored two second-half goals as Cony (3-4) beat Oxford Hills (1-6) at Augusta.

Ian Simard assisted on both goals and Brendan Elwell had 11 saves for the Rams.

Matt Descanade scored for Oxford Hills.

 

EDWARD LITTLE 3, ERSKINE ACADEMY 2: Zach Tannebaum scored on a header in the second half as the Red Eddies (3-3) beat the Eagles (4-2-1) at South China.

Tyler Adams and Caleb Barden scored in the first half as Erskine took a 2-0 lead. Luke Peabody had an assist for the Eagles and Jared Gartley finished with four saves.

Calvin Willette and Maslah Hassem scored later in the second to tie the game for Edward Little. Brady Pleau had 11 saves.
