PORTLAND — The Children’s Museum & Theater of Maine is offering free admission on Friday to students, families and caregivers of Hall Elementary School, which was damaged by a fire.
The school was damaged on Monday by a fire, displacing more than 430 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The electrical fire started between the roof and the ceiling of the 56-year-old school.
The recreation program at Riverton, which has been caring for many Hall students, is expected to bring up to 60 students to the museum on Friday morning.
The museum is located at 142 Free St. in Portland. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
