ROCKLAND — The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency has charged three people in Rockland with possession of so-called bath salts, a synthetic hallucinogen linked to bizarre and dangerous behavior.

Drug agents, Maine State Police, Rockland police and Knox County Sheriff’s deputies worked together on an investigation that led to Thursday’s arrests. Police were investigating allegations that Rockland residents were buying the drugs via the Internet then using them or reselling them.

Police charged Hillary Hannan, 24, Allan Boody, 27, and Corey Conway, 41, with possession of synthetic hallucinogenic drugs.

Agents also seized Suboxone and oxycodone ills.

All three were taken to Knox County Jail in Rockland.
