WOOLWICH — The Maine Municipal Association has sent a $1,492 dividend check to the town of Woolwich as a result of its good loss experience and loss-prevention programs.

The MMA offers three selffunded pools for municipal and quasi-public entities in Maine. They include the Workers Compensation Fund, the Property and Casualty pool and the Unemployment Compensation Fund.

The programs are overseen and governed by boards of elected and appointed municipal officials. Each year, the boards review the programs’ loss experience to determine if dividends can be paid.
