Over the past several months I have received two letters signed by Charles Webster, chairman, Maine Republican Party, in which he asks, “Does this nice woman (Rep. Mary Nelson) represent the citizens of District 112 or the agenda of the Maine Democratic Party?” Well, I have news for Mr. Webster. Mrs. Nelson indeed represents us, Falmouth residents. She sends regular newsletters, responds to communications promptly and is always available when one of her constituents wants to register an opinion or seeks her advice on a bill. After two terms in the Maine House (in my old seat, by the way), she is knowledgeable and seasoned. Her grasp of education issues is second to none. While we may not always agree, I know she will respect my opinion and those of other Falmouth residents. That’s why I’ll vote for Mary Nelson as my representative to the Maine House.
