LEWISTON — Jonathan M. Ramsay, age 44, a resident of Greene and longtime resident of Lisbon, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 4th at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Lewiston August 20, 1968, a son of Clayton and Patricia (Reynolds) Ramsay, Jr. Jon was raised in Lisbon, educated in Lisbon schools, graduated from Lisbon High School in 1986 and remained a lifelong resident of this area community.

Jon first worked for a time at Express Printing Co. in Portland and later worked as a long-distance truck driver.

He always lived life to the fullest, and absolutely loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and fireworks anytime of the year and also among his favorite enjoyments were watching NASCAR, anything to do with sports cars, as he was a mechanic hobbyist, playing pool, going to the movies and time at the casinos. Having had several pet dogs over the years, he was also a dog lover, of all breeds, especially Labs. But most of all, he enjoyed special times with family and friends. Jon was a loving, dedicated and hardworking husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He leaves the love of his life, his wife Norma Newbury Ramsay of Greene; three daughters Cassandra Ramsay-Fournier and fiancé Charles Hebert, Jr. of Greene, Amanda Ritenour and husband David of Canonsburg, PA and Catherine Prendergast and boyfriend Justin Cressey of Bowdoin, three siblings Scott Ramsay and wife Susan of Lisbon Falls, Denise Carlisle of Brunswick and Mark Ramsay and wife Laurie of Turner; 6 grandchildren Faith, Daymien, Gaven, Conner, Ella, and Aiden; fourteen nieces and nephews Nicholas, Jeremy, Caitlin, Michael, Courtney, Jacob, Josselyn, Glen, Melanie, Nick, Allyn, Kenny, Sabrina, and Mark; his mother-in-law Helen Galloway and her husband Wayne of Bath and many aunts, uncles, cousins and several close and special friends including Meagan Kindlimann who he thought of as a daughter.

Jon was predeceased by his parents Clayton and Patricia, a sister Carol Ann, two nieces Emily and Cassie, a brotherin law James Carlisle, and his father-in-law Stanley W. Newbury, Jr.

Visitation Crosman Funeral Home Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral service Thursday, 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church of Auburn, 439 Park Ave. in Auburn. Committal to follow at Lunt Cemetery in Brunswick.
