GEORGETOWN — For nearly 200 years, the village of Riggsville/Robinhood at the northern end of Georgetown island has served as a center for commerce.

On Oct. 16 at the Georgetown Historical Society on 20 Bay Point Road, Andy Vavolotis, president of Robinhood Marine Center, will share some history of this important center for trade. A potluck supper begins at 6 p.m., followed by the presentation. This program is free and open to the public.

Those interested in the potluck supper can bring an entree, salad or dessert to serve six, as well as place settings.
