Third time, not the charm

10/1 A resident in the north end of the city reported that a dog was bitten by a raccoon. The raccoon was trapped in a garage, and Animal Control Officer Ann Harford captured the animal and took it to the Maine Health and Environmental Testing Lab, where it was confirmed to have rabies. It is Bath’s third confirmed rabies case of the year. Police urge residents to vaccinate their pets against the disease, and not to approach wildlife appearing sick or acting strangely.
