BRUNSWICK — For Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, Family Crisis Services is joining with local business owners in Brunswick for the Glowing Purple Project.

The goal of the Glowing Purple Project is to send the message that domestic violence has no place in our community.

Businesses on Maine Street will be “shining the light on domestic violence” by displaying purple lights to Sunday, Oct. 14.

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, Family Crisis Services will be holding the 1st annual Color ME Purple event throughout Cumberland County. Organizers encourage everyone to wear something purple on that day and take a stand against domestic violence.
