BATH

Police have notified neighbors that two convicted sex offenders have moved into the a residence at 6 Andrews Road.

Bath police Lt. Stanley Cielinski said Richard S. Marro, 65, and Phillip S. Brooker, 62, both moved into the residence recently, and police spanned the neighborhood last week to notify people.

Brooker was convicted in 1980 of two counts of felonious sexual assault and one charge of kidnapping.

Marro was convicted in 1995 of aggravated felonious sexual assault, the victim being less than 13 years old. Both convictions were in New Hampshire.

“It’s not common to have sex offenders in the same residence,” Cielinski said.

Marro and Brooker met in prison, then lived in Laconia, N.H., Cielinski said.

Cielinski said detectives routinely notify the school superintendent’s office and the YMCA when sex offenders have moved into the area.

“We look into the neighborhood they live in and decide how big an area to sweep,” he said.

In this case, detectives notified adult residents on Cobb, Page, Plant, Oak streets and Dike Road, Cielinski said.

Updated lists of convicted sex offenders are available at city and state websites, Cielinski said.
