TOPSHAM — Abbey Mac- Donald recently earned her first- degree black belt from the Shotokan Karate International Federation. MacDon- ald, 18, began karate at Shotokan Karate Academy Topsham in 2005, and is continuing her practice of Shotokan this fall as she pursues a degree in management and marketing at the University of Maine.
