WEST KINGSTOWN, R.I. — Frances L. Caddick age 90 of West Kingstown and formerly Coventry died Tuesday, November 13th at Shady Acres Nursing Home after a long illness.

She was born in Boothbay Harbor, Maine on October 27, 1922 the daughter of William and Lulu Rapley Stewart. In her younger years she lived in Boothbay Harbor until moving to Rhode Island in 1962. For many years she worked as an assembler for the Bostitch Staple Gun Company in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.

Frances enjoyed many visits to her native Boothbay Harbor and spending quality time with her family in Maine. She enjoyed going antiquing, going to fleamarkets and trips to Foxwoods Casino. Frances also enjoyed painting, sculpting and had a very large doll collection in which she was extremely knowledgeable about.

Surviving is a sister Harriett Bouchard of Millinocket, ME; a son- in-law David Traut of Brunswick, ME; a grandson Richard Townsend and his wife Jean of Brunswick, ME; a granddaughter Michelle Freeman and her husband Stuart of Topsham, ME; a grandson David Townsend and his wife Jessica of Massachusetts. Two great grandsons Nicholas and Nathan Freeman of Topsham, ME.

In addition to her parents and her husband John Edward Caddick who died on June 7, 2007 she is also predeceased by her daughter Carolyn V. Traut who died July 3, 2012.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 16th at 6PM at the Stetson’s Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick, ME. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery Boothbay Harbor, ME.
