MINNEAPOLIS – Micaella Riche and Rachel Banham scored 16 points apiece, and Minnesota used a 12-0 run in the second half to pull away from Maine for a 77-60 women’s basketball victory in the championship game of the Subway Classic on Sunday afternoon.

The Black Bears (1-4) were led by Ashleigh Roberts with 23 points and eight rebounds.

Minnesota is 4-0.

WILLIAMS 55, UNE 49: Claire Baecher finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and six blocks for the Ephs (2-0) in a win over the Nor’easters (1-1) in the Williams Tip-Off Tournament at Williamstown, Mass.

UNE was led by Kelly Coleman with 12 points and eight rebounds, and Beth Suggs with eight points and 11 rebounds.

MIT 74, BATES 51: Molly Brown scored 16 points and Taryn O’Connell added 14 for Bates (0-2) in a loss to the Engineers (1-1) in the consolation game of the Salem State Tip-Off Tournament at Salem, Mass.

SOUTHERN MAINE 87, UM-PRESQUE ISLE 48: Alex Kee went 10 for 10 from the foul line and scored 24 points as the Huskies (2-0) downed the Owls (1-1) at the Star City Classic in Presque Isle.

Conor Sullivan added his first career double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds for USM, which broke the game open with a 23-4 run in the second half.

BABSON 60, COLBY 54: John Wickey scored 16 points to lead the Beavers (2-0) over the Mules (1-1) in the championship game of the Babson Invitational at Babson Park, Mass.

Chris Hudnut paced Colby with 18 points.
