Volunteers of all ages head into the chilly Atlantic at Winslow Park in Freeport on Saturday, Nov. 24, for the first Freezing-Port Turkey Plunge to benefit the Freeport Middle School Boosters. Although the temperature was about 40 degrees and there was a chilly wind blowing, there were no dampened spirits among the dippers, who were rewarded with hot chocolate and doughnuts.
