The Coastal Humane Society at 30 Range Road, Brunswick, has boarded 12 truly special dogs from the Hilton Head Humane Association in South Carolina, which grapples with animal overpopulation, as do many shelters in the South. These dogs — including Paddie, at right — were handpicked by Coastal staff and were made available for adoption Thursday. They’re fully vaccinated, have been examined personally by staff veterinarian Dr. Mandie Wehr and have been behaviorally assessed. All they need is your loving home to complete their journey.
