Ararat High School gets a lesson in mast hoop making from volunteer Zoe Ciolfi at Maine Maritime Museum’s open house celebration of its 50th anniversary Wednesday night. The event, just in time for the holidays, was made possible by a grant from Bath’s Davenport Fund. According to MMM Executive Director Amy Lent, “the kids who are experiencing this tonight are from the communities where many of these objects came from. In a way, this stuff belongs to them.”
