YARMOUTH – Charlie Fay scored 27 points and Jack Simonds added 16 as Falmouth rolled to a 55-34 victory against Yarmouth in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy basketball game Tuesday night.

Falmouth (5-0) outscored Yarmouth 11-3 in the first quarter and extended its lead to 28-9 by halftime.

David Murphy and Nathaniel Shields-Aubie scored 10 points apiece to pace Yarmouth (2-3).

 

BOOTHBAY REGION 61, OAK HILL 49: John Hepburn had 13 points as the Seahawks (5-0) beat the Raiders (2-3) at Wales.

BIDDEFORD 49, MASSABESIC 37: Matt Cote and Cameron Nadeau had 10 points apiece to lift the Tigers (2-2) over the Mustangs (0-4) at Biddeford.

Cote added 10 rebounds and scored six in the fourth quarter to spark a 17-9 run for the Tigers, who led just 32-28 after the third.

 

BRUNSWICK 79, OXFORD HILLS 54: Blake Gordon finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, and Ryan Black scored 17 as the Dragons (2-2) stopped the Vikings (1-3) at Brunswick.

 

SCARBOROUGH 68, WINDHAM 49: Dillon Russo and Sam Terry had 18 points each to spark the Red Storm (2-2) past the Eagles (1-3) at Scarborough.

Brendan Hall added 12 points and Kevin Manning chipped in 11 for Scarborough, which led 36-16 at the half.

 

WESTBROOK 56, CHEVERUS 48: Keenan Lowe totaled 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals to lead the Blue Blazes (3-1) over the Stags (2-2) at Westbrook.

David Breunig contributed 12 points and Alec Hazelwood had 11 for the Blue Blazes.

 

GORHAM 58, KENNEBUNK 44: Nick Greatorex and Ryan Sullivan scored 14 points apiece for visiting Gorham (1-3), which opened the second half with a 10-0 run to break open a tie game against Kennebunk (0-4).

Jonathan Woods added 13 points for Gorham.

 

WELLS 75, FREEPORT 44: Jake Moody scored 22 points as the Warriors (4-1) handled the Falcons (1-3) at Wells.

Chris Carney scored 16 and Dylan Steven had 15 points for Wells.

 

A.R. GOULD 57, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 54: Zacharia Mohamed buried six 3-pointers en route to scoring 36 points for the Bears (3-1) against the Seagulls (2-3) at South Portland.

Tim Robertson added 11 points for the Bears, who led 32-20 at halftime and didn’t give up the lead while holding off a surge by the Seagulls.

 

LINCOLN ACADEMY 40, MORSE 30: Caleb Farrin scored seven of his 11 points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles (1-3) closed on an 18-10 run to put away the Shipbuilders (1-3) at Newcastle.

 

CAPE ELIZABETH 56, GREELY 47: Ethan Murphy scored 12 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter as the Capers (3-1) rallied from a five-point deficit with a 23-9 run against the Rangers (2-3) at Cape Elizabeth.

Murphy also had five steals and Chris Robicheaw added 12 points.

OCEANSIDE 71, MEDOMAK VALLEY 65: Shea Davenport and Isaiah Stone-Patterson each had 19 points as the Mariners (4-0) edged the Panthers (3-1) in double-overtime at Rockland.

 

LAKE REGION 67, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 61: Sam Smith was 6 of 8 from the line to help the Lakers (3-2) hold off the Patriots (1-3) in the final five minutes at Gray.

Michael Triglione scored 19 points to lead Lake Region. Smith finished with 15, Mike Mageles added 13 and Quinn Piland had 12.

DEERING 67, NOBLE 44: Dominic Lauture made five 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 23 points as the Rams (4-0) cruised past the Knights (2-2) at Portland.

Lauture also added nine rebounds, seven assists and five steals, and Liam Densmore scored 11 points for Deering.

 

MT. ARARAT 44, SKOWHEGAN 35: Mason Griffin had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles (3-1), who used a 14-5 fourth-quarter run to pull away from a tie game against Skowhegan (1-3) at Topsham.

 

SANFORD 61, MARSHWOOD 59: Ryan Camire had 26 points and a late steal to cap a come-from-behind victory for the Spartans (2-2) against the Hawks (1-3) at Sanford.

Evyn Nolette added 10 points for Sanford, which trailed 40-33 at the half, but made defensive adjustments to hold Marshwood to three points in the third quarter.

 

SOUTH PORTLAND 56, THORNTON ACADEMY 54: Tanner Hyland and Conner MacVane scored 16 apiece as the Red Riots (4-0) beat the Trojans (1-3) at Saco.

South Portland trailed 15-5 after the first quarter, 30-24 at halftime and 39-38 after three quarters.

 

POLAND 67, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 45: C.J. Martin scored 26 points and Alan Young added 14 for the Knights (1-4), who took a 40-20 halftime lead and beat the Raiders (0-4) at Fryeburg.

Walker-James Mallory finished with 14 points and Bright Amoako 13 for Fryeburg, which pulled within 46-36 through three quarters.

 

YORK 68, TRAIP ACADEMY 39: Zach Leal, Aaron Todd and Ross Hogan scored 12 points apiece to lead a balanced offense for the Wildcats (5-0) against the Rangers (2-3) at Kittery.
