SOUTH BERWICK – Brady Innes scored 13 points Friday night to help Marshwood collect a 47-39 victory against Cheverus in an SMAA schoolboy basketball game.

Daniel Veino added 11 points for Marshwood (2-4), which led 19-9 and 36-19 through three quarters.

Cheverus (3-3) surged in the fourth to make it 38-38 before Marshwood pulled away late.

BRUNSWICK 57, LEWISTON 45: Blake Gordon scored 17 points to lead the Dragons (4-3) past the Blue Devils (3-4) at Brunswick.

Ryan Black added 10 for Brunswick, which took a 19-14 lead into halftime before pulling away with a 24-15 third quarter.

Quintarian Brown paced Lewiston with 10 points.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 54, WATERVILLE 45: Jonathan Hendrikson-Belloguet finished with 15 points, John Murray added 12 and Ryan Ripley 10 to lead Medomak Valley (5-1) past Waterville (2-4) at Waldoboro.

Christopher Hale led Waterville with 13 points.

SANFORD 70, KENNEBUNK 47: Ryan Camire finished with 28 points and Evyn Nolette added 17 to lead the Spartans (3-3) past the Rams (0-6) at Sanford.

Austin Sandler led Kennebunk with 13 points. Hank Lapham added 10.

SOUTH PORTLAND 62, MASSABESIC 41: Ben Burkey and Tanner Hyland scored 15 points apiece for the Red Riots (6-0), who pulled away from the Mustangs (0-6) in the fourth quarter at South Portland.

Jaren Muller added 12 points and Conner MacVane scored 10 for South Portland, which led 39-33 through three quarters.

Casey Nava led Massabesic with 11 points.

NOBLE 43, WESTBROOK 40: Grayson Waterman scored 10 of his 21 points in the second half to help Noble (3-3) rally from a 10-point third-quarter deficit to defeat the Blue Blazes (4-2) at Westbrook.

After trailing 23-17 at the half, the Knights came back to take a 40-38 lead in the final two minutes.

Keenan Lowe and David Breunig each scored 12 points for the Blue Blazes.

HOCKEY

PORTLAND/DEERING 4, WESTBROOK 0: Andrew Ahonen and Chris Eye scored in the first eight minutes as the Bulldogs (3-2) shut out the Blue Blazes (1-5) at Portland.

Caleb Fraser and Stephan Barry scored in the second period for the Bulldogs, who had a 48-8 advantage in shots.

Bulldogs goalie Jonny Gatti stopped all eight shots he faced. Richard Henward made 44 saves for Westbrook.

BRUNSWICK 4, WATERVILLE 2: Cam Heatley scored twice, and Dwayne Palmer and Jake McGowan each had a goal and an assist to lead Brunswick (3-2) over the Panthers (2-4) at Waterville.

Heatley snapped a 1-1 tie at 3:30 of the second period, then made it 3-1 with a slap shot from the slot at 3:20 of the third.
