SALEM, Mass. – Nash Biliew scored a career-high 19 points as Southern Maine remained undefeated on the season with a 76-53 women’s basketball victory over winless Dominican on Sunday afternoon at the Salem State Holiday Classic.

Erin McNamara was the only other player to finish in double figures for the Huskies (11-0), making 7-of-11 from the field and 3-of-4 from behind the 3-point line for a career-high 17 points.

USM led 47-42 midway through the second half before taking control of the game with an 18-1 run that was sparked by six points from Meredith Reid.

TOWSON 69, MAINE 64: Danielle Walczak scored a career-high 20 points and Ashleigh Roberts added 15 to lead the Black Bears (1-11) in a loss against the Tigers (6-5) at Towson, Md.

Towson used a 7-0 run to rally for a 62-58 lead with just over three minutes left in regulation and made their foul shots down the stretch to hold on for the win.

Liz Wood chipped in with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Black Bears, who led 35-30 at halftime.

BOWDOIN 58, CLARK 53: Megan Phelps scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Polar Bears (4-4) to a win over the Cougars (7-2) in the championship game of the Bowdoin Holiday Invitational at Brunswick.

Kirsten Prue went 4-for-5 from behind the 3-point line and finished with 13 points for the Polar Bears. Kaitlin Donahoe added 11 points and was named Tournament MVP.

Bowdoin held Clark to just 16-percent shooting from the field in the first half while building a 27-21 lead.

The Polar Bears used a 10-0 run early in the second half to extend the lead to 13 and the lead never dipped below five the rest of the way.

(4) DUKE 73, MONMOUTH 32: Tricia Liston scored 15 points for Duke (11-0), and Monmouth tied a Division I record with just three points in the first half of a rout at Durham, N.C.

Monmouth (3-8) matched the NCAA’s halftime scoring futility mark set in 2003 by Savannah State against Florida State and equaled by Tennessee State two years ago against Georgia Tech.

(7) KENTUCKY 78, MARIST 56: Jennifer O’Neill scored a career-high 21 points, and Kentucky (12-1) pulled away at Lexington, Ky., for its 11th straight victory.

(13) TENNESSEE 66, RUTGERS 47: Isabelle Harrison had 18 points and 11 rebounds to help Tennessee win at home for the 1,200th win in program history.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

ST. JOSEPH’S 73, BECKER 72: Steve Simonds made six foul shots in the final minute of regulation as the Monks (6-2) held on to edge the Hawks (6-5) in a back-and-forth game at Standish that featured 26 lead changes and 13 ties.

Matthew Medeiros paced St. Joseph’s with 23 points and Nicholas Jobin added 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Simonds finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Monks.

SALEM STATE 93, SOUTHERN MAINE 83: The Vikings (7-4) took control with a 12-0 run midway through the second half and held on for a win over the Huskies (6-5) at the Salem State Holiday Classic at Salem, Mass.

Conor Sullivan scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds to pace the Huskies and Alex Kee added 15 points, six rebounds and five assists.
