BRUNSWICK — Brunswick police arrested a teen on a charge of domestic violence assault Thursday night, stemming from an incident police said occurred several hours earlier.

Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said Luis Rivera-Gonzales, 18, of 1 Perryman Drive, was arrested at home at 5:45 p.m. Thursday and charged with domestic violence assault.

Early Thursday morning at 12:11 a.m., police were called to the emergency room at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick where an 18-year-old female reported she had been in a fight with an ex-boyfriend who allegedly hit her head on the floor. A friend took her to the hospital. The injured woman identified Rivera-Gonzales as the attacker, police said.
