PORTLAND (AP) — President Obama has renominated a lawyer from Cape Elizabeth for a federal judgeship.
The president originally nominated William Kayatta early last year for a seat on the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston, but his Senate confirmation was stalled by election-year politics despite an endorsement from the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Obama on Thursday included Kayatta in a list of more than 30 renominations.
