SCARBOROUGH – Mary Redmond scored 21 points Friday night to lead undefeated Scarborough to a 52-26 victory against Thornton Academy in an SMAA schoolgirl basketball game.

Redmond was 9 of 11 at the foul line.

Scarborough (8-0) led 24-15 at halftime, then put the game away with a 23-2 run in the third quarter, when Redmond scored 13 points.

Olivia Shaw led the Trojans (4-3) with 12 points.

MT. ARARAT 53, MESSALONSKEE 36: Chelsea Crawford scored 12 points, and Caitlin LaFountain and Mallory Nelson each had 11 as Mt. Ararat (8-0) downed Messalonskee (4-4) at Topsham.

Mt. Ararat used a zone defense to take control in the second quarter with an 11-2 run that made it 26-16 at halftime.

Kelsey Mayo and Emily York each had 12 points for Messalonskee.

MARSHWOOD 55, WESTBROOK 36: Megan McLean scored 13 points for Marshwood (3-5) against the Blue Blazes (3-4) at Westbrook.

McLean scored seven points in the first quarter to help the Hawks take a 17-4 lead.

BOOTHBAY REGION 48, HALL-DALE 30: Sarah Caron scored 14 points for the Seahawks (6-2) against Hall-Dale (2-5) at Boothbay Harbor.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 46, HEBRON ACADEMY 27: Mallory Ianno and Chloe Leischman scored six points each in the fourth quarter as the Panthers (1-5) used a 16-2 to pull away from Hebron Academy (2-2) at Yarmouth.

Ianno scored nine in the third period and NYA, ahead 17-15 at the half, increased the lead to 30-25 before the fourth-period surge.

BONNY EAGLE 54, NOBLE 36: Shannon Sanborn had 14 points and 21 rebounds to lead the Scots (2-7) over Noble (0-9) at North Berwick.

Amber Kelly and Chandler Waterman scored 11 each for the Knights.

HYDE 48, VALLEY 16: Diamond Brown had 13 points as the Phoenix (5-0) beat the Cavaliers (3-5) at Bath.

BIDDEFORD 41, KENNEBUNK 30: Carissa Gelinas scored a career-high 27 points to lift the Tigers (2-6) over the Rams (1-7) at Biddeford.

Gelinas went 19 of 24 from the line in the game, 9 of 12 in the fourth quarter.

GORHAM 53, MASSABESIC 31: Kristin Ross scored 15 points to lead 10 scorers for the Rams (4-4) against the Mustangs (1-7) at Waterboro.

Nicole Roberge had 10 points for Massabesic.
