Fireworks scare

On New Years Eve, a resident on Brown Street reported hearing gunshots. Police checked the neighborhood and spoke with others who reported seeing fireworks in the area.

Windy city

Police reported suspicious activity at Connections for Kids on Main Street in Westbrook on Jan. 3, when a caller reported the door to the building was left wide open after business hours. Police alerted the owner of the building and said the cause of the open door was due to a gust of wind.

Not welcome

Police responded to a call about an intoxicated person at Shaw’s Supermarket on Main Street in Westbrook on Jan. 4. The person was asked to not return to the store.

Christopher R. Keenan, 22, of 95 Pierce St., Apt. 2, Wesbrook, charged with operating with a suspended or revoked license, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana and the sale and use of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of Church Street and William B. Clarke Drive.

Jan. 1

Wendell L. Hicks, 39, of 41 Castine Avenue, Portland, arrested on charges stemming from an outstanding warrant on Brackett Street.

James Auger, 44, of 280 Main St., Apt. 3, Westbrook, charged with endangering the welfare of a child, refusal to submit to arrest and refusing to sign a criminal summons on Berkeley Street.

Phiell Yum Waddell, 35, of 91 Central St., Apt. 4, Westbrook, charged with disorderly conduct and loud noise in a private place and the misuse of the 9-1-1 emergency system on Central Street.

Jordan Charon Fields, 22, of 1133 Caribbean Circle, Alabaster, Ala., arrested on charges stemming from an outstanding warrant at the intersection of Brown and Myrtle streets.

Pedros Saram, 22, of 122 Taft Ave., Portland, arrested and charged with operating with a suspended or revoked license and violating conditions of release on Cumberland Street.

Dwayne William Wright, 24, 118 McKinely Ave., Westbrook, on charges stemming from an outstanding warrant on Spring Street.

Jessica L. Ford, 24, of 108 Thomas Pond Shore Road, Casco, and Lindsay Fulton, 20, of 17 Bridle Lane, Dryden, N.Y., both charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer at Kohl’s on Main Street. Ford also faces charges stemming from an outstanding warrant.

Keith Pettie, 23, of 67 King St., Apt. 1, Westbrook, charged with operating after habitual offender revocation, and Corey Sacco, 21, of 5 Coast Lane, Portland, on an outstanding warrant, at the intersection of Main and Lamb streets.

Christopher Jennings, 26, of 63 Berkshire St., Portland, charged with operating a vehicle without a license and violating conditions of release at the intersection of Cumberland and Bridge streets.

Jhon Jairo Quinones, 32, of 213 Mary Jane Road, Buxton, charged with operating with a suspended or revoked license and violating conditions of release on Warren Avenue.

Christopher McMahah, 18, of 16 Godfrey Street, Portland, charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, refusal to submit to arrest and possession of marijuana at Rite Aid on Main Street.

Susan R. Sajecki, 50, of 6 Cherryfield Ave., Saco, charged with operating with a suspended or revoked license at Gospel Hall on Spring Street.

Two juveniles, 16 and 15, charged with shoplifting at the Rite Aid on Main Street in Westbrook. The 16-year-old was charged with left by unauthorized taking or transfer, possession of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia. The 15-year-old was charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
