PORTLAND — Katie Roy scored three goals, including the winner, as Cheverus rallied for a 7-5 win over Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete in a girls’ hockey game Monday at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Allison Mills scored her second goal of the game 33 seconds into the third to give Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete (5-9) a 5-2 lead.

Katie Randall notched back-to-back goals for Cheverus (6-8), Paige Severance got the tying goal with 6:24 remaining, and Roy scored a short-handed goal 59 seconds later.

LEAVITT/EDWARD LITTLE 9, BRUNSWICK 1: Taylor Landry scored four goals as the Red Hornets (11-3) upended the Dragons (4-9) at Brunswick.

Paige Landry added a pair of goals. Danica Nadeau, Sydney Nadeau and Amanda Grenier also scored for Leavitt/Edward Little.

Rachel Moroney scored Brunswick’s goal.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

NOBLE/WELLS 10, SOUTH PORTLAND 2: Dean Pratt and Ryan Marsh each notched a hat trick as the Knights (4-5) cruised past the Red Riots (0-7) at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Connor Peas, Noah Peas, Nick Ricker and Alex Wiggin contributed a goal apiece.

Kyle Halverson scored both goals for South Portland.

MHW 5, MT. ARARAT/LISBON 2: Jared Hanson scored twice goals to lead the Maranacook/Hall-Dale/Winthrop co-operative team to a win at Bowdoin College.

Bailey Clark, Dan Condon and Matt Plourde scored for the Hawks (6-2-1) and Josh Ehiorobo made 21 saves. Evan Tome got both goals for Mt. Ararat/Lisbon (3-5).

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

THORNTON ACADEMY 57, SANFORD 41: Jeff Gelinas and Quinn Richardson-Newton each had 15 points to lift the Trojans (6-5) over the Spartans (5-6) at Saco.

Reuben Moses added 11 points and Kevin Barrett put in 10 points.

Ryan Camire led the Spartans with 15 points.

WELLS 61, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 55: Jake Moody scored 20 as the Warriors (7-3) rallied to defeat the Patriots (1-8) at Gray.

Wells trailed 44-41 heading into the fourth, but Moody hit the go-ahead basket and was 7 of 8 at the free-throw line in the quarter.

Matt Ingalls added 14 points and Joey Spinelli finished with 11.

Will Shafer had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Gray-New Gloucester.

BRUNSWICK 62, SKOWHEGAN 57: Ryan Black scored 18 points as the Dragons (7-4) held off the Indians (1-10) at Brunswick.

Konnor Scarponi chipped in 12 points for Brunswick, which built a 36-18 halftime lead. Skowhegan pulled to within one late in the contest, but Brad Smith hit a jumper with 40 seconds left to help secure the win.

Isaac Witham scored 20 points to pace the Indians.

SANFORD 42, THORNTON ACADEMY 23: Samantha Adams finished with 16 points while Morgan Fogg added 15 to lead the Spartans (7-3) past the Trojans (6-5) at Sanford.

Abby Strickland paced Thornton Academy with 12 points.

WAYNFLETE 64, KENTS HILL 39: Martha Veroneau scored 28 points, including six 3-pointers, to power the Flyers (8-2) past the Huskies (2-3) at Portland.

Rhiannan Jackson added 10 points.

Sara Grenier scored 23 for Kents Hill.

BOOTHBAY 51, MONMOUTH 46: Alex Clarke led Boothbay (9-2) with 20 points and Morgan Crocker added 11 as the visiting Seahawks pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Kylie Kemp paced Monmouth (7-3) with 14 points. Sierra Spencer scored 10.

HEBRON ACADEMY 41, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 34: Olivia Brown recorded 30 points as the Lumberjacks (3-5) beat the Guardians (0-10) at Hebron.

Hebron trailed 28-26 after three quarters but outscored Seacoast Christian 16-6 in the fourth.

Shannon Kunz and Kylene DeSmith scored nine apiece for the Guardians.

OAK HILL 55, ST. DOMINIC 24: Grace Sabine scored 16 points and the Raiders (6-5) broke away from a 20-20 halftime tie against the Saints (6-4) at Auburn.

Faith Grady had 17 points for St. Dominic.
