SCARBOROUGH — The office of 1st Congressional District Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-Maine, will sponsor a Town Hall workshop on fighting telecommunications fraud at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24
The workshop will be led by Derrick Hill of the Federal Trade Commission. Hill will be joined by staff from Pingree’s Portland office. Town Hall is at 259 U.S. Route 1.
Workshop topics include tips on recognizing online and telephone fraud, protection against identity theft, credit and mortgage scams, and Medicare fraud.
