LEBANON — Slippery, snow covered roads caused a crash that destroyed a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and sent a local woman to the hospital Monday night with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lebanon’s Assistant Rescue Chief Jason Cole said a town ambulance crew arrived on Hubbard Road near Carl Broggi Highway around 4 p.m. and found the sport utility vehicle laying in a ditch on its roof.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown into the back seat after the Jeep slid off the road. The woman, who is in her 30s, was able to crawl out of her vehicle on her own. She was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Cole said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Deputy Chris Roux of the Sheriff’s Office.
