PORTLAND — Cumberland County Government, the Civic Center and Feld Entertainment have combined to provide special “Family Night” passes to the Thursday, Feb. 7, and Saturday, Feb. 9, performances of “Disney On Ice Presents Worlds of Fantasy,” at 7 p.m.

These special rates will allow attendees to purchase $25 tickets for only $10 when purchasing at the civic center box office. Savings coupons for the purchase of up to six tickets are available at county and town offices, or several human service agencies throughout the county.

Neil Jamieson, chairman of the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners, said, “We are so pleased to be working with the folks from Feld Entertainment again this year to provide special rates for our citizens. We are fortunate to have the Cumberland County Civic Center here in the county, and with the renovations now going on, it will be a showplace and example for the entire state of Maine.”

The action-packed ice spectacular showcases beloved characters from “Cars,” “Toy Story 3,” “Tinker Bell” and “The Little Mermaid.”

There will be high-speed stunts as Lightning McQueen, Mater and the crew of “Cars” race across the ice. Dive into The Little Mermaid’s enchanting undersea kingdom and enter the mystical world of Pixie Hollow with Tinker Bell and the Disney fairies as they reveal the magic that lies within. The toys are back in town with heroic action when Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and the “Toy Story” gang escape from the rambunctious tots of Sunnyside Daycare and race for home, in their most daring adventure ever.

Show times are Feb. 6 to 8, at 7 p.m.; Feb. 9 at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Feb. 10 at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Family value pass nights are Feb. 7 and 9 during the 7 p.m. shows only.

Tickets for Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy are available at Cumberland County Civic Center Box Office, Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 775-3458 or 1-800-745-3000, and at local Ticketmaster locations.
