TIMBUKTU, Mali (AP) — United Nations officials say that two civilians have been killed by explosions in northeastern Mali.

The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said in a statement today that two civilians died in explosions by a land mine, or by an improvised explosive device, on the road in northeastern Mali that links Kidal, Anefis and North Darane.

This is the second report of fatalities from land mines in Mali in the past week.
