MINNEAPOLIS – Andre Hollins hit the go-ahead 3-pointer midway through overtime Thursday night to finish with 21 points and lead Minnesota to a 58-53 victory against No. 20 Wisconsin.

It was third straight game Wisconsin went to overtime.

Austin Hollins added 11 points for the Gophers (18-7, 6-6 Big Ten), who held the Badgers without a basket for about 11 minutes until Jared Berggren’s putback with 10 seconds left in overtime. Hollins went 4 of 4 from the free-throw line over the final 18 seconds of overtime to seal it.

Sam Dekker scored 14 points and Ben Brust added 11 for the Badgers (17-8, 8-4). They were 7 of 28 from 3-point range, negating their 18 offensive rebounds, and totaled four points over the last 10-plus minutes of the game.

(12) LOUISVILLE 72, ST. JOHN’S 58: Russ Smith scored 21 second-half points, including 12 straight over a 3:03 stretch that put Louisville (20-5, 8-4 Big East) ahead for good against visiting St. John’s (15-10, 7-6).

(13) OHIO STATE 69, NORTHWESTERN 59: Deshaun Thomas scored 22 points and Ohio State (18-6, 8-4 Big Ten) used a late 12-0 run to beat Northwestern (13-12, 4-8) — the Buckeyes’ 32nd consecutive home victory against the Wildcats.

(5) DUKE 77, VIRGINIA TECH 33: Elizabeth Williams and Haley Peters each matched their career high with 25 points apiece as Duke (23-1, 13-0 Atlantic Coast) took a big early lead against overmatched Virginia Tech (8-16, 2-11) at Blacksburg, Val., and cruised to its seventh straight victory.

(7) MARYLAND 75, CLEMSON 45: Tianna Hawkins posted her 12th double-double of the season with 30 points and 12 rebounds as Maryland (20-5, 11-2 Atlantic Coast) beat Clemson (6-18, 2-11) at College Park, Md.

(8) PENN STATE 81, IOWA 69: Maggie Lucas scored 21 points to lead Penn State (21-3, 11-1 Big Ten) over Iowa (16-10, 5-7) at Iowa City, Iowa.

(9) KENTUCKY 78, (16) SOUTH CAROLINA 74: Kastine Evans hit two free throws with 8.8 seconds left, and Kentucky (22-3, 10-2 Southeast) rallied from a 14-point halftime deficit to defeat South Carolina (20-5, 8-4) at Lexington, Ky.

(14) NORTH CAROLINA 76, WAKE FOREST 56: Xylina McDaniel scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead North Carolina (23-3, 11-2 Atlantic Coast) to a victory over Wake Forest (11-14, 4-9) at Chapel Hill, N.C.

(18) PURDUE 68, WISCONSIN 58: K.K. Houser scored 20 points, Drey Mingo added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Purdue (19-5, 8-3 Big Ten) rallied in the closing minutes to beat Wisconsin (11-14, 3-9) at Madison, Wis.

NORTH CAROLINA STATE 76, (19) FLORIDA STATE 69:Kody Burke scored 26 points, tying her career high, to lead North Carolina State (13-12, 5-8 Atlantic Coast) over Florida State (19-5, 9-4) at Tallahassee, Fla.
