STONINGTON – Opera House Arts presents “Congratulations, Macbeth,” its second in a series of contemporary cabaret versions of Shakespeare’s classics, at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Stonington Opera House.

“Congratulations, Macbeth” is written by Justin Badger and Stephanie Dodd, two of Opera House Art’s family of New York City-based actors. In addition to the performance, Dodd will offer a circus silks aerial workshop on the afternoon of the performance.

Badger is an actor, singer and songwriter based in Tarrytown, N.Y. In addition to his regular work at the Stonington Opera House, he made his Broadway debut in “Hair,” directed by Diane Paulus. He is a founding member of Conni’s Avant Garde Restaurant, and has appeared at Joe’s Pub in New York as well as in many regional productions at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C., and A.R.T. in Cambridge, Mass. His TV credits include the sitcom “30 Rock.”

Dodd is a writer, aerialist, actor and musician based in New York City. In addition to her Opera House performances, she has appeared at Shakespeare & Company, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Ars Nova, Joe’s Pub Dixon Place, the Classical Theatre of Harlem, Club Oberon at ART, Aquila Shakespeare, 59E59 and the Irondale Center, among many others. Her play “Hollow” received two workshops at Dixon Place and readings in Stonington, at Abingdon Theatre in New York, and at TASIS in Lugano, Switzerland. “Devil in the Hole,” her new aerial country-rock musical, recently played at Dixon Place and the Sky Box in Brooklyn. The project was a finalist for the 2012 Resident Artist Program at Mabou Mines.
