PORTLAND – A skateboarder, dressed in black, was injured when he was hit by a car on Forest Avenue on Friday night, police said.

The skateboarder, whose name and age was not released, was taken to Maine Medical Center with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.

“Apparently, he was kind of zig-zagging around parked cars and cut in front of a woman who didn’t see him,” said Portland Police Lt. Bob Ridge. “He ended up on her windshield.”

Ridge, who said no charges are expected to be filed, said the skateboarder was complaining of a sore back after the crash.
