CLINTON, N.Y. – Lindsay Picard scored with 5:15 left in overtime to lift Bowdoin (4-0, 3-0 NESCAC) over Hamilton (3-2, 2-1) 10-9 in women’s lacrosse.

Carolyn Gorajek led the Polar Bears with three goals, followed by Picard, Betsy Sachs and Mackenzie Schleicher with two apiece.

Hamilton scored three straight goals for a 9-8 lead with 12:59 left, but Schleicher tied it nearly three minutes later.

MT. HOLYOKE 16, SOUTHERN MAINE 8: Molly MacDonald scored five goals as the Lyons (5-1) posted eight in each half against the Huskies (4-1) at Clermont, Fla.

Rosie Forster, Jacki Kelly and Sarah Pelligrinelli each had two goals for Southern Maine.

UNE 15, EASTERN CONN. 9: Hannah Tavella scored six goals to lead the Nor’easters (1-4) past the Warriors (2-3) at Mansfield, Conn.

Gina Newsome added two goals and five assists, while Nikki Smith finished with three goals and an assist for UNE,

Courtney Kendall made 16 saves for the Nor’easters.

MEN’S LACROSSE

UNE 12, FDU-FLORHAM 7: Pat Wolfe scored six goals, and Tyler Thomas had three goals and two assists to lead the Nor’easters (5-2) past the Devils (2-6) at Madison, N.J.

Wolfe scored four goals during a 5-0 run that gave UNE a 5-2 lead three minutes into the third quarter.

TUFTS 14, COLBY 9: John Jennings scored his 100th and 101st career goals for the Mules (2-2, 1-2 NESCAC), but the Jumbos (3-2, 1-2) rallied from a 6-0 deficit to win at Waterville.

Jennings left with an injury just after his second goal made it 2-0 and did not return.

Chip Grossman and Ian Deveau also scored twice for Colby.

BASEBALL

SOUTHERN MAINE 9, WORCESTER ST. 2: Chris Bernard scattered four hits in five innings for the win, and Nick Grady had two hits, scored twice and drove in three runs for the Huskies (5-1) against the Lancers (4-6) at Winter Haven, Fla.

Grady hit a two-run single during a three-run third inning that put the Huskies ahead 5-1, and added an RBI single in the seventh when the Huskies tacked on three more.

Forrest Chadwick had three hits and scored twice, while Tucker White had two hits with three runs.

WOMEN’S SOFTBALL

BOWDOIN 8, BUFFALO ST. 7: The Polar Bears (11-5) rallied for three runs in the seventh inning and held on to beat the Bengals (1-1) at Clermont, Fla.

Katie Gately and Cielle Collins each singled home a run, and Casey Correa plated another on a fielder’s choice to give Bowdoin an 8-6 lead.

In the bottom of the seventh, Julia Geaumont allowed an RBI double before striking out the last three batters.
