BRUNSWICK – Carolyn Gorajek moved into the record book with a four-goal performance that helped Bowdoin top Williams 9-6 in a NESCAC women’s lacrosse game Sunday.

Gorajek’s third goal was the 146th of her career, breaking the school record of 145 set by Jill Bermingham in 1986.

Betsy Sachs added two goals and an assist for the Polar Bears (6-1, 5-1), who took control with a 4-0 run early in the second half.

Bridget Malicki scored twice for the Ephs (6-3, 2-3).

MEN’S LACROSSE

BOWDOIN 7, WILLIAMS 6: Mac Caputi scored his first career goal with 3:18 left in the fourth overtime to lift the Polar Bears (6-2, 4-2 NESCAC) over the Ephs (3-4, 2-3) at Williamstown, Mass.

Williams scored three goals in the fourth quarter to rally from a 6-3 deficit. Andy Grabowski got the equalizer with just nine seconds left in regulation.

Franklin Reis and Billy Bergner each had two goals and an assist for the Polar Bears.

BASEBALL

ALBANY 7, MAINE 6: D.J. Hoagboon hit a two-out, RBI single in the top of the eighth inning to break a 6-6 tie as the Great Danes (8-13, 4-5 America East) rallied for a win over the Black Bears (15-14, 6-3) at Orono.

Michael Fransoso capped a five-run sixth inning for the Black Bears with a two-run single that gave Maine a 6-3 lead. That was one of just two hits during the rally, which included two walks, two hit batters, an error and a wild pitch.

Albany came back with three runs in the top of the seventh.

Eric White also drove in a pair of runs for the Black Bears.
