COLEBROOK, N.H. — The owner of a New Hampshire gunpowder company who faces a trial in a 2010 explosion that killed two workers has been indicted in Maine.

Craig Sanborn of Maidstone, Vt., is accused of fraudulently obtaining $300,000 in Community Development Block Grant money for a munitions plant in Brownville.

In New Hampshire, Sanborn was indicted last year on manslaughter and negligent homicide counts, accused of negligently engaging in the manufacture and storage of explosive material. The explosion at the Black Mag plant in Colebrook killed Donald Kendall and Jesse Kennett.

The Caledonian-Record reported the indictment in Maine alleges Sanborn sought public financing for the plant by providing false invoices for equipment and services never received.
