NASHUA, N.H. – The Telegraph of Nashua, N.H., is getting a new owner.

The Ogden Newspapers Inc., a family-owned company with 40 daily newspapers in 40 states, has agreed to acquire The Telegraph, publisher Terrence Williams said Monday.

Independent Publications Inc. has owned The Telegraph since 1977 and announced in December that it would sell the newspaper and associated weeklies and websites. Included in the sale are the Milford Cabinet, Merrimack Journal, Bedford Journal and the Hollis/Brookline Journal.

The ownership change will take place on April 22, Williams said.

Ogden Newspapers was founded in 1890.
