Samantha Adams, Sanford, senior pitcher: One of the Spartans’ top hitters, she is also the No. 1 pitcher. Adams went 7-3 last year with a 1.05 ERA and one save. She struck out 99 in 73 innings.

Lauren Bame, Wells, junior pitcher:
A returning starting pitcher, Bame is also one of the Warriors’ top hitters, with a batting average over .300 last year.

Brittany Bell, Cheverus, junior pitcher/infielder:
Standout two-way player for the Stags, Bell batted .326 with two home runs and 11 runs. She went 4-9 with a 2.27 ERA.

Desiree Benner, Medomak Valley, senior pitcher: Dominating at times, she is regarded as one of the best pitchers in Eastern Class B.

Erin Bogdanovich, South Portland, senior pitcher:
A returning all-state selection, the hard-throwing left-hander went 11-1 with a 1.01 ERA, 103 strikeouts and 10 walks in 80 innings last season. She batted .588 with 33 runs and 18 stolen bases.

Carinn Burns, Kennebunk, senior pitcher/shortstop:
Batted .326 for the Rams with three home runs, 12 RBI and 10 runs. Went 4-1 as a pitcher with a 1.07 ERA.

Dani Cimino, Greely, senior pitcher: A dominating pitcher and hitter at times, she was a first-team all-WMC selection a year ago.

Sammy Crossman, Marshwood, senior third baseman: She batted .352 last year with 10 RBI and nine runs scored. Solid defensive player at the corner.

Dani Egan, Massabesic, senior pitcher: A four-year starter for the Mustangs, Egan went 9-6 last year with a 2.38 ERA. She struck out 139 in 94 innings.

Rachel Frye, Oceanside, senior pitcher: The KVAC Class B East Player of the Year and returning all-state pick, Frye went 13-1 with a 0.81 ERA and 141 strikeouts in 89 innings. Also batted .392.

Erin Giles, Scarborough, senior pitcher/third baseman: Gifted at the plate, in the field and as a pitcher, Giles is one of the state’s top talents. She went 7-0 last year for the Red Storm with a 1.05 ERA. Also batted .451 with four home runs.

Danica Gleason, South Portland, senior shortstop: A four-year starter and All-State selection, she is perhaps the best defensive shortstop in the state. Also batted .568 with six triples, 22 runs, 24 RBI and 12 stolen bases.

Kennadi Grover, Oceanside, senior third baseman: A four-year starter, she batted .500 last year with one home run, 21 RBI and 27 runs. She hit 11 doubles and three triples.

Sarah Harriman, Fryeburg Academy, junior pitcher: The hard-throwing left-hander was 15-1 in the regular season with 121 strikeouts in 105 innings. She also batted .328.

Mariah Harrison, Bonny Eagle, senior shortstop: Great range with a strong arm, Harrison anchors the middle of the infield for the Scots. Batted .375 last year with two home runs, 13 RBI and 11 runs last year.

Amy Haynes, Camden Hills, senior shortstop:
A three-year starter, she batted .350 last year with 29 RBI. Very strong defensively, she was a second-team all-KVAC pick last year.

Katelyn Lebreux, Biddeford, senior shortstop: A four-year starter, she has great range and makes every play defensively. Also batted .455 with 10 runs and eight RBI.

Taylor Pare, Mt. Ararat, senior catcher: A three-time all-KVAC all-star, Pare batted .521 last year with three home runs. She handles pitches extremely well.

Molly Pritchett, Noble, senior third baseman: A four-year starter for the Knights, she batted .313 last year with 18 runs scored. Strong defensively.

Sam Schildroth, Thornton Academy, senior catcher: Playing third base last year, she batted .500 with three home runs, 28 RBI and 23 runs. Didn’t make an error all season.

Patty Smith, Gorham, senior first base:
Batted .383 last year and was a strong defensive player.

Ashley Tinsman, Cape Elizabeth, sophomore catcher/shortstop: Extremely athletic, Tinsman can play a variety of positions. She batted .463 last year with seven home runs.

Carla Tripp, Fryeburg Academy, senior catcher: The WMC Player of the Year and an All-State selection last year, Tripp batted .536 with 32 runs scored and 13 RBI as the leadoff batter to help the Raiders to a fifth consecutive regional title.

Alyssa Williamson, Scarborough, junior pitcher/first baseman:
A two-time All-State selection, she is one of the state’s most feared hitters. She batted .536 with three home runs, 29 RBI and 26 runs last year, and did not strike out.

Alex Thompson, Gray-New Gloucester, senior shortstop: A first-team all-WMC selection last year, Thompson provides a lot of speed at the top of the Patriots’ lineup. A strong defensive player as well.
