PORTLAND — The Porthole Restaurant & Pub on Custom House Wharf had a very soft reopening Tuesday morning.
The restaurant served its first food, but it was mostly to train the staff on the new computer system, according to manager Beth Poitras.
Poitras said the restaurant will be serving only breakfast the rest of the week, and has yet to schedule a grand reopening.
The Porthole could be serving lunch by the weekend, she said.
The Porthole was closed down last fall because of issues discovered during a city health inspection, including a rat infestation. The restaurant now has a new owner and new management, and the kitchen and other parts of the space have been completely remodeled.
