PORTLAND — A couple of major league pitchers will be playing for the Portland Sea Dogs this week at Hadlock Field.

Starter John Lackey is scheduled to pitch Monday night against the Binghamton Mets and reliever Craig Breslow is expected to pitch Tuesday night.

Lackey is recovering from a strained right bicep that forced him out of his first start of the season on April 6 at Toronto after 4 1/3 innings. In 61 games with the Red Sox, Lackey is 26-23 with a 5.26 ERA.

Breslow was placed on the disabled list on March 31 (retroactive to March 22) with left shoulder tendinitis.

Lackey and Breslow will be the second and third Red Sox players to rehab with the Sea Dogs this season.  Shortstop Stephen Drew played for the Sea Dogs from April 4 to 8.
