FREEPORT — L.L. Bean is donating $150,000 to the fund set up by Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino to help victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

CEO Chris McCormick says “our hearts go out to the victims, families and the community as a whole.”

Already, $20 million in donations has poured into the One Fund Boston. McCormick said the L.L. Bean donation is aimed to ensure that “individuals and families tragically impacted have a resource to turn to for immediate support as well as ongoing needs as they put their lives back together.”

The April 15 bombings killed three people and wounded more than 260 near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. One suspect was killed in a shootout and the other is hospitalized in Boston.
