PORTLAND – Murder suspect Anthony Pratt arrived at Cumberland County Jail on Wednesday after being transported from New York, where he had been held since his arrest April 2.

Pratt, 19, of Queens, N.Y., is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Unified Criminal Court on Friday morning for his initial appearance on a charge of murder in the death of Margarita Fisenko Scott.

Scott, 29, of Westbrook, was found dead Jan. 17 by her estranged husband in the back of her SUV, which he found in the parking lot of Motel 6 on Riverside Street in Portland. Court records indicate Scott was killed on Nov. 11, 2012.

Police said Scott was killed by a single gunshot in a first-floor apartment at 266 West Concord St. in Portland. Neither she nor Pratt, whom she was dating, were tenants of the apartment.

Police believe the SUV with Scott’s body had been left in the motel parking lot for an ”extended time” before it was found.

The police affidavit for a warrant for Pratt’s arrest was under seal Wednesday and was not available in court records.
