SOUTH PORTLAND — Regina Mary Barbour, 100, of South Portland, died peacefully April 19, at Cedars Nursing Facility.

She was born Nov. 30, 1912, in Madison, a daughter of Levi and Josephine Richard Arsenault. She attended Mexico schools, graduating from Mexico High School in 1930.

After she married Stanley J. Barbour, they made their home in Monmouth for many years. She worked for the Globe Albany Textile Mill in Monmouth from 1950 to 1974.

She moved to South Portland in 1982 after the death of her husband. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church.

Barbour was predeceased by her parents, her husband in 1982, a daughter, Cathleen Barbour, in 1944, two sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Carole Eaton and her husband Maurice, of South Portland, and Jacquelyn LaPlointe, of Augusta; two sons, Gregory S. Barbour and his wife Carol, of Leeds, and James J. Barbour and his partner Susan, of Newfield; nine grandchildren, Maureen, Michael, Kevin, James, Terry, Tina, Scott, Stephen and Lisa; 10 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel. Burial will be in Glenside Cemetery, in Winthrop.
