BOSTON — The Boston Fire Department says a house fire in the city’s Allston neighborhood has killed one person and injured 15 people, including six firefighters.
Steve MacDonald, a spokesman for the Fire Department, said the fire at the 2-1/2- story wood frame house was reported about 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
He says none of the injuries to the firefighters or residents were life-threatening and all firefighters were treated and released. Some of the residents remained hospitalized late Sunday afternoon.
MacDonald said a cause has not been determined and other details, including the identity of the victim who died, were not immediately available.
