STANDISH – Ben Greenberg hit an inside-the-park homer in the second inning and added a two-run triple during a five-run fifth Saturday, leading Scarborough to a 7-3 victory against Bonny Eagle in an SMAA baseball game.

Jayme Lappin struck out nine over five shutout innings to earn the win for Scarborough (4-0).

Brian Morin paced Bonny Eagle (1-3) with two hits, including a two-run double.

PORTLAND 7, NOBLE 0: Ryan Dixon pitched an eight-hitter with six strikeouts and one walk to lead the Bulldogs (3-1) over Noble (0-4) at Portland.

Portland scored all it needed in the first inning when Nick Volger led off with a double, then advanced to third and scored on consecutive grounders.

Portland added a run in the fourth and five in the sixth.

SOUTH PORTLAND 4, MASSABESIC 3: Zac Marles struck out eight and gave up two earned runs as South Portland (3-1) beat Massabesic (1-3) at Waterboro.

Matt Beecher hit a two-run single in the third inning to give the Red Riots a 2-1 lead. South Portland added two runs in the fourth on RBI singles by Robert Graff and Chris Foley.

WINDHAM 5, SANFORD 4: Andrew Whiting scored on a single by Spencer Hodge in the eighth inning to lift the Eagles (3-1) over the Spartans (0-4) at Sanford.

Whiting finished with three hits, and Joey Francoeur had two hits, including a three-run homer in the first inning for Windham.

Nate Boyle closed the game with three shutout innings to earn the win.

Ryan Camire of Sanford had three hits, two runs and two steals.

WESTBROOK 4, KENNEBUNK 0: Ethan Nash pitched a two-hitter with one walk as the Blue Blazes (3-1) beat the Rams (1-3) at Kennebunk.

Kaleb Kent had a two-run single, and Ryan Gilligan and Blake Fillmore each added an RBI for Westbrook.

BIDDEFORD 7, GORHAM 0: Nate Huot and Corey Collard combined on a four-hitter as the Tigers (1-3) shut out Gorham (2-2) at Biddeford.

Huot gave up four hits and struck out three. Collard came on with two outs in the sixth inning and retired the final four batters.

Corey Brown had an RBI single in the first for Biddeford, which added three in the second behind a two-run double by Brady Fleurent.

YARMOUTH 16, SOUTH PORTLAND 4: Joe Oliva and Brady Neujahr finished with three goals and one assist apiece as the Clippers (3-0) downed the Red Riots (3-2) at South Portland.

Ian Edgecomb and Ethan Cyr each added three goals for Yarmouth.

GORHAM 7, FREEPORT 4: Matt Petty came up with 16 saves to help the Rams (2-3) hold off Freeport (0-2) at Gorham.

Anthony Coppolla scored four goals and Collin Harvey had the other three. Harvey added an assist for the Rams, who led the whole game.

Clayton Morrison and Gavin Simmons scored two goals each for Freeport.

CHEVERUS 19, WAYNFLETE 12: Warren Murray scored five goals to help visiting Cheverus (3-1) defeat Waynflete (1-2) at Portland.

Tom Lawson and Jack Sutton both scored four goals for the Stags, who led the entire game.

Zander Majercik scored five goals for Waynflete.

FALMOUTH 18, PORTLAND 1: Frederick Stucker had four goals and four assists to lead the Yachstmen (1-1) over Portland (0-5) at Falmouth.

Bryce Kuhn and Charlie Fay also finished with four goals each.

KENNEBUNK 5, THORNTON ACADEMY 3: Pat Murphy and Jake Boothby scored two goals each as the Rams (5-0) edged Thornton Academy (3-2) at Kennebunk.

Ben Bath made 14 saves for Kennebunk.

NORTH YARMOUTH 8, SCARBOROUGH 5: Jacob Scammon scored three goals to lead North Yarmouth Academy (3-1) over the Red Storm (4-1) at Scarborough.

Oliver Silverson added a goal and an assist for the Panthers.
